Overview

The largest island in the Mediterranean, Sicily is also one of the most colorful. Culture, food, history, folklore, and passion surround guests at Grand Hotel Timeo, a glamorous hillside retreat.

Rooms look down magnificent sloped gardens to the Mediterranean, and across the bay to Mount Etna.
Taormina is a naturally dramatic place. In part, that may be why it attracted golden-age starlets like Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. One can only imagine the two of them vying for attention at poolside.

Looking over an ancient Greek theatre (Sicily was once part of the Greek colonies) and out to Mount Etna, Grand Hotel Timeo has no need to gussy itself up with extras - but it does anyhow. 70 rooms are dressed to the nines in Sicilian touches including terraces, fine linens, and views out to the ocean.

At the Wellness Centre, put local citrus fruits grown on the isle to good use, and get massaged with Neroli, the essence of the orange blossom.

The Restaurant looks out to Mount Etna, and serves only the freshest seasonal fare. Down by the pool, the rule of waiting to swim after eating is pleasantly ignored at the Pool Restaurant, serving pizzas, seafood, and salads.

At sunset, grab your Limoncello and pause on the literary Terrace, where inspiration has struck many the pondering screenwriter standing in the very same place.
