Looking out at the Straits of Mona, the Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel surrounds you with elegant neo-colonial architecture. Located in Rincon, Puerto Rico, it is one of the nation's most sophisticated locales.

Suites are set amid lush gardens. Evoking an aristocratic Spanish villa, each features wicker armchairs, hand-painted tiles, and seaside terraces (some include a private pool). Inside your room, four-poster beds are enveloped in white veils, and brass-footed tubs sit atop marble floors. Persian rugs drape tile while queen-sized sofa beds are a perfect spot to relax on a warm Caribbean evening.

Fill your days with a tee time at the nearby golf course, or a trip to the casinos. Snorkeling, sea kayaking, and surfing on the pristine beaches will help you work up an appetite, but you won't go hungry here. Silver and candlelight complement the five-course meals and eight-course "tasting" dinners in the exquisite formal dining room.
